The Essence
Layana Aguilar, a Project Runway Alum, came to us with an evolved aesthetic and point of view for her Spring 2014. Our task was to incorporate and communicate her new utilitarian, edgy approach, connecting it to the sexy feel her line came to be known for during the show.
The Approach
Working with Layana pushed us to turn some of our approaches upside down. To position her already recognized brand as an indie, niche brand required us to place Layana’s personal growth at the center of the story we told about her. We collaborated with a fantastic production team to produce a show that had a raw, albeit refined, feel.
